Hair
Not only will LSC train you in styling, cutting, coloring, perming, relaxing and conditioning hair but you will learn the concept of “why.” This is why your beauty school training at Lee’s School of Cosmetology is special and unique. We at Lee’s want you to know why you do any service before you do it. This will insure perfection and no misunderstanding upon completion. Client Consultations are required to create the confidence between student and client and Lee’s will teach you the professional way to “talk” to the client. LSC will teach you to find out the “why.”

As of January 1, 2010, Lee’s School of Cosmetology was chosen to be the only Premier Wella Color Institute in Arkansas. What does this mean for you? You will learn your basics to insure a successful trip to the state board exam, and you will learn about several hair color lines, but you will receive extensive training in the Wella concepts of Hair Color through daily lectures, and hands on procedures. You surely deserve that!!

Face/Make-Up
At LSC you will have hands on practice with make-up and facials and all skin care concepts. We will teach you the theory of makeup application. We are known for our volunteering for special events that have style shows, recitals and special events where we take care of the backstage makeup and hairstyles. We at Lee’s believe that there is much more to learn past the four walls of the school. For this reason you will find LSC students where there is excitement needing assistance in the glamorous world of entertainment. You too someday may be a star, or at least the makeup artist of one!! Many of our graduates, through the years have traveled to Hollywood and worked among the stars. Because we have history, we can listen to our graduates and see how they have taken the step ups to secure their place among the successful professionals that many only dream about.

Hands/Feet
Did you ever think you could make a living playing with feet? Yes, you can. By receiving your license from LSC you will be well versed on sanitation and sterilization and the proper care of the feet through pedicures and massage. Many of our clients love the massages because it has beneficial results with circulation and relaxation of the soleus and tibialis interior muscles. Yes, you will study and learn Anatomy!!!!

The nail industry has become one that is very lucrative and a career that one can sit and accumulate revenue. At Lee’s you will learn manicures, and the proper way to apply French and American nail concepts along with all types of sanitation and sterilization health department rules to insure no infections can occur. All clients deserve that!!

Becoming A Student
To become a student at Lee’s you will need the following in paperwork requirements:

2. GED or high school proof of education
3. Proof of Age, which could be birth certificate, ID card, Drivers license
4. Passport size photo
5. $20.00 money order made to Department of Health, Cosmetology Section
6. Registration fee

When you call for your personal interview the financial aid officer will discuss with you necessary documents to be brought to the financial aid office if you desire federal financial aid assistance. Lee’s is an accredited and licensed establishment that allows us to offer “the student” financial aid for school and living expenses. To be licensed in the State of Arkansas as a Cosmetologist, you must be at least 16 years of age, possess a GED or high school diploma, have 1500 hours certified on file with the Arkansas State Board Office and successfully pass the 3 part state board exam which consists of a written (administered by computer) Arkansas State Cosmetology Laws (administered by computer) and a 2 hour practical exam (administered by trained examiners at the Arkansas State Board Testing Center, 101 E. Capitol, Little Rock, AR)
